If you’re thinking about joining us, then great! But if you’re still a little unsure about what studying with us will be like, then here are a few reasons to help you make your mind up.
We’ll treat you as an individual
You’ll be taught in groups rather than being one of hundreds in a huge, impersonal lecture theatre. This means you'll get far more contact time with your tutors and your learning will be individually tailored to your needs.
Our tutors are always available to help
If you ever need help or guidance, your tutor will always be around to help.
All of our courses are built around student-staff contact; you'll never be just a name on a list: you'll know your tutors and they'll know you.
Our courses give you value for money
We offer significantly lower tuition fees than many other institutions in the South East. Hastings also has the added advantage of having a lower cost of living compared to Brighton. So you’ll be saving money, without sacrificing any of the quality. Take a look at our guide to living in Hastings here

We have fantastic facilities
Our multi-million pound campuses are right in the centre of Hastings and just metres away from Hastings train and bus station. We have recently created a dedicated floor for Art, Business and Teaching at our Station Plaza campus, and given Engineering and Computing its own wing at our Ore Valley campus. Both sites give you access to Learning Resource Centres, dedicated study spaces, a library, common rooms and have a combined total of over 1,500 Macs and PCs. Read more about our facilities here.
We get the thumbs up from the Quality Assurance Agency
During the last QAA review in 2017, it showed that we met all expectations and gained a full confidence rating, with no recommendations.
The University of Brighton Partnership Review in 2016 also graded us as very good.
